- Replacement of bushings |
This type of bushing is a plug-in sleeve held by cheese head screws
which serves as seal carrier and guide box. A major advantage
of the HYDROPNEU hydraulic cylinder Type 51 and Type 55 is
the simple way of replacing the bushing without having
to open the complete cylinder.
Progress of the assembly:
Note:
As a replacement package, the completely equipped bushing is available besides the complete seal kit. |
For the disassembly of
the bushing two fixing screws must be removed at
first. To draw off the bushing more easily two tapped
holes for lifting screws are provided in the flange range. |
Then the bushing
can be taken off easily by drawing it over the piston
rod. |

Assembly of bushing
Before the assembly of the bushing equipped with
new seals (on this point see also our operating instructions “Replacement
of piston rod seals“), the appropriate fits are
greased with silicone-free grease. This makes the assembly
easier and prevents mechanical damage of the seals and
of the statically sealing O-ring when assembling. Additionally
the greasing is meant as a protection in regard to a
long storage or standstill period until setting into
operation. |
Now, the stuffing box is
being put into the cylinder head from the front and fixed
by the cylinder screws which are tightened by controlling
the torque. |
Please consider the correct
tightening torque for assembly!
