- Replacement of piston rod seals |
 |
 |
Progress of the assembly:
For the replacement of
the piston rod seals the bushing has to be dismantled
(on this point see our assembly instructions „Replacement
of bushings“). |
 |
 |
This type of bushing is a plug-in
sleeve held by cheese head screws which serves as a seal
carrier and guide box.
Note:
As a replacement package the completely equipped bushing is available besides the complete seal kit.

Replacement
of piston rod seals
The O-ring for the statically sealing at the mounting
diameter of the bushing is buttoned into the groove
pierced at the circle with the help of a seal bailer.
Be careful not to damage the O-ring by sharp edges at
the tool or bushing, and do not install it in a
distorted way. |
|
 |
 |
 |
The PU-packing ring used
as piston rod seal is lead into the in a way “open” installation
space from the pressure side.
With bigger diameters the
installation into the closed groove is also done from
the pressure side, i.e. the seal is also buttoned into
the groove. |
After the installation
of the piston rod seal the so called bushing guide is
lead into the bushing from the pressure side.
With
bigger diameters this step can be omitted since here
the bushing is formed in a way that it can function
as guide bush at the same time.
|
 |
 |
|
 |
 |
 |
Finally the wiper ring
is to be buttoned-in on the front of the bushing. |
After the successful replacement
of the piston rod seals the bushing can be installed
again by controlling the torque, (on this point see our
operating instructions „Replacement
of the bushings“).
